Gold is a common currency in many parts of Nexus, especially low-tech realities. In realities commonly in phase with Nexus, gold is gold; merchants rarely care about which king is emblazoned on the coin. This isn't a guarantee, though. The further one travels from Nexan hubs, the more difficult it becomes to spend Nexan gold coinage.
